«Psychosomatics» – what does it mean?

Nowadays the word «Psychosomatics» has become very popular. In ancient Greek psyche means mind, and soma – the body. Accordingly, Psychosomatics examines the interconnection of processes in the psyche and physical diseases.

It is important, however, to clearly understand, that the psyche and the body, or the mind and the body are really the same thing. Any emotion that arises in our Soul, immediately appears in our body, provoking hormonal and vegetative shifts. And any thought, crossing our mind, also finds it place in the body, activating the appropriate function.

When our mind is peaceful, the body is healthy. When the soul is hurting, the body suffers. Human being is a highly evolved creature. The neocortex – the most recently evolved part of the brain, provides human with such an outstanding phenomenon as Will. Only human can abstain from food when hungry, if on a diet. Only human can keep working when deadly tired if he has to. Only human can hide her pain, hurt and sorrow, and continue smiling, because he’s proud. But neglecting our own pain, we damage our bodies. All those hidden emotions find their shelter in the body, causing physical illness.

When one gets sick it is absolutely necessary to consult a doctor and have all reasonable treatment, adjust the diet and lifestyle. However, one should also ask herself a question – why the disease took place?

Each person has several major energetic centers. Each of those centers – a chakra – is located in its own area in the body and is responsible for normal functioning of particular group of organs. Also each chakra plays its own role in person’s life, his feelings, achievements, relationship to world and other people. By identifying what exactly is happening in our bodies, it is possible to define psychological roots of the disease. Of course, this requires knowledge of human anatomy, understanding of the function of each organ.

How exactly can a specialist in psychosomatics help you heal?

While treating a client with a physical illness I help understanding it’s the mental part. Just by becoming conscious of the emotion locked in the body, a lot of healing can emerge. Unlocking traumas, patterns and scenarios hidden in the subconscious, that lead to the disease – this is my major task.

And the replacement of old patterns and emotions by new, useful for the soul and the body, can lead to a full recovery and prevent the relapse.

Be healthy!
